WorkTrek takes its customers and web site users on-line security and privacy seriously. We do acquire certain personal information from private individuals, but we use this information to better server you and facilitate your use of our web site and our application.
Our application my track and collect following information:
Account Information and Correspondence: If you sign up for an account with us, we may collect information that you provide to us, such as your username and email address. Further, in the course of using our services, you may provide us with additional information through your communications with us (for example company name/organization, title, phone number etc.).
Payment Information: WorkTrek uses a third-party intermediary to manage credit card processing. This intermediary is not permitted to store, retain, or use your billing information except for the sole purpose of credit card processing. We will have no access to your credit card number.
Mobile Information: When using WorkTrek mobile applications and services, we may collect information from you such as mobile device type, device info and IP address. If you use location-enabled products and services, you may be sending us location information. This information may or may not reveal your actual location. You may opt-out of location-based services at any time by editing the setting at the device level. The Mobile Information is used for the purpose of providing our services. We also use the Mobile Information for support, to develop new features, and to improve the overall quality of WorkTrek’s products and services. We may also use the information to show a history of your activity, to provide you with statistics about you or your use of our product or service, or to provide you with a better user experience.
Hosted Data: While using the WorkTrek web application or integration API you might upload data concerning users, assets, requests, work orders and tasks. We delete Hosted Data upon your request.
Feedback: You and/or your end users may provide us with feedback regarding our Services (e.g., in the form of email, suggestions for how to improve our service). We do not delete this information.
We may transmit, store or share your personal information with our third party vendors and hosting partners to provide necessary hardware, software, storage, networking and other services required to operate and maintain service we provide. Although WorkTrek owns the software, code, databases and all rights to the WorkTrek application, you retain all rights to your Data.
WorkTrek is committed to take appropriate administrative, physical and technical measures to deal with security, confidentiality and integrity of your Data. We will not:
- Modify your Data
- Disclose your Data except as compelled by or as permitted in writing by you
- Access your Data except to provide the Service or prevent and resolve technical problems or at your request regarding support matters or to analyze your Data in order to make improvements to our application.
WorkTrek will not give, sell, rent, or loan any personal information to any third party in ways different from what is disclosed in this policy. We may disclose such information to respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims. We may also share such information if we believe it is necessary in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of our Terms of Service, or as otherwise required by law.
